KBR is seeking a DSCS SME to join our team in Ft. Meade, MD. Active TS/SCI clearance required.

The DSCS SME provides technical assistance, analysis and informal training related to the DSCS satellites and Replacement SATCOM Configuration Control Element (RSCCE) systems.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads or participates in space operations support, analysis and reporting tasks as it pertains to DSCS performance and RSCCE operations.
  • Leads troubleshooting efforts and resolves problems with the RSCCE ground system by resolving complex satellite anomalies.
  • Provides customer support during working groups and other meetings.
  • Performs as a primary contract technical liaison with contractor technical experts, representatives of other contractors, and U.S. Government personnel.
  • Supports major RSCCE system updates and configuration rollouts.
  • Develops technical documentation and procedures for installation, maintenance, operation, troubleshooting and repair of equipment and prepares documentation in accordance with technical specifications, program requirements, and quality standards.
  • Supports informal training as it relates to the DSCS satellite and the RSCCE.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience :
  • BA/BS degree and 8+ years of experience, or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
  • 10 years of experience specific to DSCS Satellite payload planning, monitoring, and control and operations and maintenance of the RSCCE ground system.


Citizenship and Clearance :
  • US Citizen.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI is required.


Technical Knowledge:
  • Able to troubleshoot and resolve problems independently and in high pressure situations.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 10 years of experience specific to DSCS Satellite payload planning, monitoring, and control and operations and maintenance of the RSCCE ground system.
  • Applies advanced knowledge of DSCS to achieve customer requirements associated with operations and sustainment of the network.


SCHEDULED WEEKLY HOURS:
  • Normal hours of operation (0730-1630 hours).
  • 40 hours, 5 days a week.

TRAVEL:
  • May require travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations, expect approximately 10%.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Basic Compensation:

$129,800 - $162,200

This range is for the MD area only

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's work location, knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience, clearance level, contract affordability and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
