Overview
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Developer specializing in DevOps and Infrastructure Engineering to build, secure, and maintain the underlying cloud environment for mission-critical Federal Government applications. This role is essential for ensuring the performance, scalability, and compliance of our platforms in high-security settings.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Cloud Developer, you will:
• Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC): Design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure using Terraform or CloudFormation, focusing on automation and repeatability across environments.
• Container Orchestration: Serve as the SME for container platforms, managing highly available Kubernetes (or EKS) clusters, including the specialized configuration and scaling of GPU nodes to support AI/ML workloads.
• CI/CD Pipeline Automation: Implement and optimize continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and automation tools (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins, ArgoCD) to accelerate secure software delivery.
• Cloud Security & Compliance: Embed robust cloud security practices into the infrastructure design and operation, ensuring strict compliance with Federal accreditation frameworks (FedRAMP High, RMF, CJIS).
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with software and AI/ML development teams to provide scalable infrastructure solutions, troubleshoot deployment issues, and optimize resource utilization.
Required Qualifications & Expertise
• Experience: Minimum 8+ years of professional experience in cloud, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering.
• AWS Expertise: At least 4+ years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing complex infrastructure within AWS, with AWS GovCloud experience highly preferred.
• Core Technologies: Expertise and hands-on proficiency with:
• Kubernetes (or EKS) orchestration.
• GPU node management and optimization for resource-intensive applications.
• Terraform or CloudFormation for Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Docker and other containerization technologies.
• Automation: Strong background in designing and managing CI/CD automation and tools.
• Compliance & Security: Proven experience supporting systems that require adherence to strict federal accreditation frameworks, including FedRAMP High, RMF (Risk Management Framework), or CJIS.
Soft Skills:
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across multi-disciplinary engineering teams and deliver solutions successfully in high-security, mission-driven environments.
Desired Qualifications
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional.
• Experience with service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio).
• Active Security Clearance (Secret, TS, or TS/SCI).
