Title: Tech Architect
Location: Ottawa, ON

Introduction

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Technical Architect for a contract opportunity in the Ottawa area. This role offers a hybrid work model, requiring 2 to 3 days per week onsite. Join our team to help design and configure on-premise, AWS, or Azure cloud environments, and support the deployment, operation, and maintenance of business applications.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Canadian Federal Government Security Clearance - Secret.
• Active certification in one of the following: Azure Administrator Associate, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect, MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure.
• Active certification in one of the following: MCSE: Productivity Solutions Expert, MCITP: Enterprise Administrator, MCITP: Server Administrator.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in 3-tier application architecture.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in at least 2 of the following: DNS, SMTP, RDPWVD, S-FTP.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in at least 3 of the following: virtual network, PKI, firewall, router, load balancer, VPN, virtual machine.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in network or cloud security.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with diverse cloud environments and hybrid solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Design and configure cloud and on-premise environments.
• Develop technical architectures, frameworks, and strategies to meet business and application requirements.
• Analyze and evaluate technology solutions to address business challenges.
• Ensure integration of all aspects of technology solutions.
• Evaluate hardware and software to support specified requirements and recommend improvements.
• Review software systems and data requirements, determining necessary operating systems and languages.
• Deliver technical architecture documents, test plans, prototypes, presentations, and more.
