The UC-35 Cessna Citation Army Transport Aircraft Mechanic (FAA A&P) Performs organizational and intermediate level maintenance on UC-35 Cessna Citation aircraft. (Level of Mechanic is based on years of specific UC-35 hands-on A&P mechanic experience).

Bi-weekly accrual of 3.39 hours (0 to less than 48 months)
Bi-weekly accrual of 4.93 hours (48 months but less than 108 months)
Bi-weekly accrual of 6.47 hours (108 months or more)
11 paid Holidays (outlined in CBA)
Sick Leave - Newly hired or transferred employees into the bargaining until shall receive up front/front-loaded prorate sick leave hours based on the remaining weeks in the calendar year including the week of hire at the rate of 1.33 hour per week up to 56 hours

- Union CBA offers 3 levels of A&P mechanic employment, based on years of hands-on experience on the MDS aircraft assigned: UC-35 Cessna Citation.
- US Citizenship is Required to obtain the Secret Security Clearance required to work at this site location.
- Is responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, repairing and modifying aircraft systems to ensure continued airworthiness. These tasks are performed on avionics & electrical systems, engines, flight controls and airframe components.
- Repairs are performed using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills.
- Comply with aircraft records procedures outlined in DA PAM 738-751. Ensure aircraft discrepancies are properly recorded in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and within the terms of the contract.
- Know and understand the functions and requirements of computerized maintenance software.
- Perform aircraft recovery missions as necessary.
- Perform engine run or taxi operations.
- Meet requirement to obtain certification within 12 months of employment.
- Reads and interprets manufacturers' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
- Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent is Required.
- A valid (FAA) A&P Certificate is Required.
- Union CBA offers 3 levels of A&P mechanic employment, based on years of hands-on experience on the MDS aircraft assigned: UC-35 Cessna Citation.
- AM-1 - Two (2) Years A&P experience is required, with two (2) or more years of specific UC-35 Citation hands on experience being preferred.
- AM-2 -Five (5)years of UC-35 Cessna Citation hands-on A&P aircraft mechanic experience is required.
- AM-3 - Ten (10) years of A&P mechanic experience, and Thirteen (13) years of UC-35 Cessna Citation specific aircraft experience required.
- Valid Driver's License is Required.
- Must have the ability to move freely about the interior and in the unpressurized area aft of the aft pressure bulkhead and meet aircraft specific specs for weight limit.
- Mechanics may be required to provide their own Tools and Toolbox; (Recruiter will provide specific Tool requirements).
- Must be willing and able to work and/or rotate for a multiple shift operation. The site currently runs Two shifts - day shift and a swing shift. Day shift 0630 to 1430 and Swing shift 1430 to 2230; (shifts are bid and based on Union Seniority).
(AR95-20) A&P Mechanic Pre-employment Medical Requirements:
- Medical/Physical. All personnel performing engine runs, ground taxi, ordnance loading, or operating self-propelled support equipment within Ten (10) feet of the aircraft silhouette must pass a physical examination from a qualified medical professional prior to conducting these operations, and subsequently on a specified periodic basis, not to exceed Five (5) years. (BMI Body Mass Index below 40 is required).
Security Clearance Requirements:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Govt Secret Security Clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials and authorization. US Citizenship is Required to hold a Secret Clearance, and for facility credentials and authorization to work at this facility.
Physical and Additional Qualifications:
- Stand, squat, sit, walk, work with arms overhead for extended periods of time.
- Pull, push, lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comply with the FAA regulations as applicable.
- Possesses a valid FAA Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) license and shows compliance with FAR 65.83, recent experience requirements.
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining professional and non-confrontational attitude.
- Know, understand and comply with the requirements outlined in the contract performance work statement (PWS).
- May be required to work and/or rotate for a multiple shift operation.
