• IT security principles (firewalls, DMZs, encryption)
• Network security architecture (topology, protocols, defense-in-depth)
• Cybersecurity principles, threats, and vulnerabilities
• National/international cybersecurity laws, regulations, and policies
• Organizational IT security policies (account management, access control)
• Data security standards (PII, PCI, PHI)
• System administration, network, and OS hardening techniques
• Software-based protection tools (firewalls, antivirus, anti-spyware)
