The Metrics Analyst designs and maintains data architecture and models that enable accurate, efficient integration and migration of operational data across JOPES and Trans Viz systems.

The Metrics Analyst designs and maintains data architecture and models that enable accurate, efficient integration and migration of operational data across JOPES and Trans Viz systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop and update reports for company metrics on a regular basis.
- Execute statistical and data analysis to generate reports.
- Resolves technical problems revealed by tests.
- Implements process improvements based on test results.
- Delivers a presentation on data from reports.
- Responds to internal queries regarding reports.
- Leads operations reviews as necessary
- Identifies risks from report results that could impact timelines and target goals.
- May contribute to white papers and case studies.
- Design data architectures and develop databases aligned with those architectures.
- Organize large and diverse datasets into structures optimized for computer processing.
- Coordinate data integrity and maintain logical and physical data models.
- Develop and implement data integration and movement strategies, including migration plans.
- Translate business requirements into conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
- Clean, restructure, and deduplicate data to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Review and ensure proper functioning of data accounting and processing methods.
- Collaborate with IT teams and Data Architects to understand and meet data requirements.
- Assist in strategies for archive recovery, database implementation, and data acquisition.
- Maintain official documentation of data definitions and structures.
- Provide troubleshooting support for data systems and applications.
- Oversee and guide junior programmers and other staff as needed.
- Collects, analyzes, and validates performance data across JOPES and Trans Viz.
- Develop recurring and ad hoc reports.
- Produces visualizations and dashboards that enhance situational awareness for stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, data science, or related field preferred. Additional years of experience may be used in lieu of a degree.
- 3+ years of experience with data analytics/reporting, error/transaction metrics development, dashboarding (Power BI, Tableau, or DoD-approved tools).
- Must have Secret + CE certification.
- Must have Data Analytics certification (Power BI/Excel Advanced).
- Must have active secret clearance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of data architecture principles and best practices.
- Knowledge of logical and physical data modeling techniques.
- Knowledge of database design and optimization.
- Knowledge of data migration strategies and ETL processes.
- Knowledge of data integrity, governance, and quality standards.
- Experience with business requirements analysis and translation into data models.
- Experience with archive recovery and database implementation strategies.
- Ability to design and maintain complex data models.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with data integration and movement tools.
- Competence in cleaning, restructuring, and deduplicating data.
- Skilled in dashboarding and reporting using BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Skilled in troubleshooting and performance tuning for data systems.
- Ability to organize large, diverse datasets for efficient processing.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with IT teams and Data Architects.
- Ability to ensure data accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and business requirements.
- Results-driven with a positive attitude and a high degree of initiative and responsiveness.
- Ability to multitask, meet tight deadlines, and attend to details while staying focused on key priorities and management.
