RiVidium Inc. is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to support our federal customer by providing comprehensive Computer and Local Area Network (LAN) system administration. This role includes responsibility for the operation, maintenance, and optimization of computer systems, networks, and standalone/server environments. The Systems Administrator will perform hardware and software installations, system reconfigurations, diagnostic testing, troubleshooting, and repair of IT networking resources.
Additional responsibilities include supporting electronic classroom deployments, providing phone and email helpdesk support, and utilizing the organization's incident tracking and solution database to ensure timely issue resolution.

RiVidium Inc. is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to support our federal customer by providing comprehensive Computer and Local Area Network (LAN) system administration. This role includes responsibility for the operation, maintenance, and optimization of computer systems, networks, and standalone/server environments. The Systems Administrator will perform hardware and software installations, system reconfigurations, diagnostic testing, troubleshooting, and repair of IT networking resources.
Additional responsibilities include supporting electronic classroom deployments, providing phone and email helpdesk support, and utilizing the organization's incident tracking and solution database to ensure timely issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform system administration for standalone workstations, server systems, and LAN environments.
- Install, configure, update, and maintain hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
- Install and maintain operating system software including Windows, Linux, HP-UX, and Solaris.
- Conduct system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of IT networking components.
- Manage user accounts, network rights, and system access controls.
- Plan, execute, and verify data redundancy and system recovery procedures.
- Design and implement group policies and access control lists (ACLs).
- Support virtualization and virtual machine management.
- Perform routine system maintenance (disk checks, cleaning, reboots, backups, etc.).
- Provide tiered helpdesk support and document issues using the organization's tracking systems.
- Assist with deployments of electronic classroom technology solutions as required.
- 4+ years of system management or systems administration experience.
- Active DoD Secret clearance.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
- Strong technical knowledge in:
- Networking concepts, protocols, and security methodologies
- LAN/WAN architecture and data pathways
- Bandwidth management and virtualization technologies
- IT security principles and methods (firewalls, DMZs, encryption)
- Network security architecture, defense-in-depth, and cybersecurity threat concepts
- Server and client OS environments
- Enterprise IT architecture best practices
- System diagnostic tools and troubleshooting methods
- Operating system command line tools (ipconfig, netstat, nbtstat, dir, etc.)
- System maintenance and backup/recovery procedures
- Understanding of cloud service models (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS)
- Experience migrating workloads between cloud service models
- 6-8 years of system management or enterprise systems administration experience.
