Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled space launch professional with excellent written and verbal communication skills to execute the duties of a Staff/Action Officer reporting to senior Assured Access to Space (AATS) and System Delta Leadership. Applicant will be responsible for drafting, coordinating, and tracking organizational inputs for senior AATS, System Delta 80, and Space Launch Delta 45 leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze incoming taskings/requests, to include Congressional Reporting Requirements for information with a critical mindset to determine the appropriate product and information required for response.
  • Track action items using the government's Task Management Tool (TMT) and other applicable software and database tools (e.g., JIRA, Excel, Adobe Acrobat).
  • Develop briefings, draft bullet background papers, and create staff packages for senior leadership coordination and approval.
  • Primary focal point for distributing and monitoring action items using government's TMT tool.
  • Specific job duties entail preparing reports/papers, briefings, and executive correspondence for senior leader approval.
  • Responsible for coordinating products from multiple organizations with senior leadership.
  • Assist Actions Group Chief with day-to-day operations of actions and reporting function for System Delta and Program Executive Officer (PEO).




Skills Required

  • A minimum twenty (20) years of action officer experience to include a minimum of eight (8) years working in a space program environment.
  • Master's degree required, preferably in Business, Mathematics, or Sciences. A Bachelor's degree combined with a professional certification(s) within the respective functional area may be acceptable (e.g. PMP, CDFM-A, EVP, CCE/A, CCP).
  • Strong working knowledge of the Department of War (DoW),Space Force acquisition and program management policies and processes.
  • Strategic policy and planning experience, or senior-level experience working in a Commander's Action Group environment is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office applications (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and MS Teams), Zoom.gov, and Task Management Tool (TMT).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and quantitative analytical skills are required.
  • Applicant must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance is required (US Citizenship required).




Education

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in math, engineering, or the sciences.
