Full benefits: $91,000 to $114,000 annually

Solidus is hiring a Database Engineer. In this position you would be familiar with creating, updating, and managing databases and the code that interacts with them.
This is an onsite role based in Richardson, TX.
Day in the life:
- Identify and understand customer needs and apply sound, demonstrable understanding of database principles, theories, and concepts related to software engineering to translate those needs to viable design solutions
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills with the ability to communicate concepts and ideas well
- Successfully integrate Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) products as part of customer-driven solutions
- Use proven problem solving and analytical skills
- Obtain and maintain SCI program access and complete polygraphs
- Obtain Security+ certification within 60 days of start
- US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance
- Willingness to undergo comprehensive background investigation and pass a polygraph exam.
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- 2 years of Database Engineering experience.
- Experience as a Database Administrator (DBA)
- Experience with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) solutions, such as Oracle, Postgres, or related systems
- Working with Systems and Software Engineers to implement, and modify backend databases to interact with applications within a development environment
- Experience using Linux command line to perform database administration activities
- Cultural fit amongst a collaborative team environment
- Existing Security+ Certification
- Experience virtualizing or containerizing databases
- Experience with AWS
- Experience with NoSQL database products such as MongoDB and DynamoDB
- Experience troubleshooting database issues such as DR, replication & backups and other related issues
- Experience troubleshooting performance issues
- Experience with database security controls and audit & compliance requirement
- Experience with automating routine tasks
- Experience with Spatial databases
- Coding experience (SQL, Python, Java)
