Business Development Director
Position Description
CGI is seeking an individual with a broad strategic perspective and demonstrated performance leading a team tasked with developing, implementing and delivering technology solutions to solve customer problems and satisfy customer requirements. Specifically, this role will lead major business development opportunities supporting National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) pursuits.
This position is located in Huntsville, AL. The Ideal candidate needs to be located within the Huntsville, AL area, however we would also consider Candidate's local to GRC in Cleveland Ohio, and JSC in Houston TX
Your future duties and responsibilities
. Build strong relationships with clients in order to better understand and proactively respond to their needs, promote CGI full services offerings and help clients meet their strategic and tactical goals.
. Act as CGI lead, trusted advisor and business partner in identifying client needs and developing business process and technology solutions that solve critical issues and support organizational priorities.
. Work in partnership with CGI business units (BUs), business development (BD) leads, program/project leads, CGI Federal Marketing, and proposal managers to develop and implement detailed win strategies and tactics (to include pricing), holding primary responsibility for the pre-RFP capture/marketing effort and negotiations with internal and external teammates.
. Respond to requests for proposal (RFPs) requests for information (RFIs) or sources sought requests as appropriate, coordinating the requisite resources needed for a response and ensuring the right message is conveyed for the RFI response, and in consideration of CGI Federal's go-to-market and win strategies.
. Build and prosecute a pipeline of prospective opportunities that coincide with CGI's core capabilities and the go to market strategy.
. Execute capture taskings consistent with company frameworks to increase the win probability of opportunities targeted for bid.
. Have ability to attract top-tier teaming relationships in all NASA center geographical locations and understand the industry dynamics as they relate to the customer base.
. Brief senior CGI leadership on capture progress and offer options for increasing percentage of win for each opportunity.
. Attract, build and develop talent, to ensure teams drive innovation and foster collaboration.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
. Prior project experience should have 7+ years of proven/successful business development and/or program delivery experience on prime NASA-related projects or programs, with at least 4 years serving successfully in positions of major responsibility.
. Ability to constructively influence and interact at the highest levels of the company and in target customer organizations.
. Demonstrated ability to identify emerging business trends resulting in strategy recommendations to senior leadership, with a particular focus on understanding how to leverage technology differentiators.
. Attention to detail, and strong communication, negotiation, client facing and client relationship building skills.
. Ability to travel to different client sites in and around the United States.
. Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $141,200.00 - $278,000.00.
