Navy Operations Systems Lead

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Naval Operational Systems Lead to support a company focused on security systems within the DoD. This position is on-site at Moorestown, NJ . This is a direct-hire opportunity supporting a national leader in secure, resilient power and technology systems. The specialist will provide operational expertise and user experience perspective for the development and modernization of Naval Combat Systems. Join a mission-driven team where your work directly supports national security. This position is a 4-day work week (4x10 schedule). Relocation assistance is offered.

Responsibilities for the Senior Operational Systems Lead include:

• Lead discussions on new combat systems from an operational perspective.
• Provide domain expertise and situational knowledge throughout system design and integration.
• Support system testing and modernization efforts, including scenario modeling for Aegis Baseline upgrades.
• Collaborate with engineering and program management teams to ensure system objectives are met.

Required Qualifications for the Senior Operational Systems Lead include:

• 10+ years of experience with Naval Combat Systems operations and leadership.
• Hands-on experience with Aegis Combat System (Baseline 5) and systems engineering principles.
• Strong background in modeling and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink, SysML).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance

Compensation for the Navy Operations Systems Lead includes:

• Salary Range: $180,000-$200,000 depending on experience.
• Full Benefits Package: PTO, Paid Holidays, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Tuition Reimbursement, Sick leave as required by law.
