Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector is seeking an experienced Staff Maintenance Trainer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located at Edwards AFB, CA with duties performed at both Palmdale Plant 42 and Edwards AFB, CA.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Basic Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelor's degree with 12 years of related job experience; or a Master's degree with 10 years of related job experience; or a PhD with 8 years of related job experience or 16 years experience in lieu of degree.
Experience with using Microsoft Office Suite, Learning Content Management Systems such as Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate, Learning Management Systems such as Learning Exchange, or other related software suites used for learning content management.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, utilize subject matter experts, team members, and established processes to create and sustain training materials under minimal supervision.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills as well as oral and written communication skills are required for the position.
Ability to lead small teams for training projects with minimal management oversight.
Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include alternate/second shifts, extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year.
Mandatory 25% annual travel requirement as a condition of employment.
Must maintain required medical/training qualifications for worldwide travel as a condition of employment.
Must have an active DoD Secret or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours continuously with resting time provided approximately every 2 hours.
Must be able to operate heavy equipment/machinery such as industrial lift vehicles, etc.
Must be able to perform maintenance training activities in bending, rotating, overhead, and under fix objects scenarios.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Active DoD Top Secret Clearance
• Formal Military or Civilian Training Instructor Certification/Degree
• Experience in courseware development/ISD/ADDIE modeling
• Experience with Articulate Storyline and/or Adobe Captivate products
Primary Level Salary Range: $133,000.00 - $199,400.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
