The Work
The Networks and Enterprise Services (NES) Engineering Manager serves as a senior systems-engineer leader responsible for technical planning, system integration, verification & validation, and cost-risk analyses across the full life-cycle of missile-defense-related IT and communications systems. This role designs, develops, and analyzes computer-based solutions that translate customer requirements into complete hardware and software architectures while maintaining schedule and cost constraints. The manager leads multidisciplinary teams, drives Earned Value Management compliance, champions Agile processes, manages product backlogs, develops KPIs, and provides technical mentorship. Responsibilities also include risk assessment, status reporting, proposal support, product-release approvals, and coordination of internal and external dependencies, all while acting as the primary technical spokesperson to senior leadership, program managers, and customers.

Basic Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret clearance is required for consideration
- Strong written and presentation skills; adept at conveying technical details to engineering SMEs, program management, and customers
- Proven experience leading and managing teams delivering complex DoD systems
- Demonstrated expertise in Earned Value Management (EVM) for cost, schedule, and scope control
- Technical background in Systems Engineering, Network Engineering, or a closely related field
Desired Skills:
- The ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
- Familiarity with C2BMC and/or Missile Defense System architectures
- PMP certification (Project Management Professional)
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, JNCIA, CISSP, etc.
- Agile certification from a reputable provider and hands-on experience with Agile processes (sprint planning, retrospectives, etc.)
- Experience creating, managing, and reporting on metrics/KPIs
- Proficiency with Agile tooling (Jira, Confluence, Agility, etc.)
- Ability to manage product backlogs, dependencies, and ensure alignment with C2BMC program plans, processes, and procedures

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $122,900 - $216,660. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
