Description:Sensors, Effectors, & Mission Systems (SEMS) Advanced Concepts Senior Manager leading the Active Sensing and Space Domain Portfolio.
• Manage a team of business development professionals responsible for cultivating business growth initiatives across our Advanced Concepts portfolio, with a specific focus on sensing technologies across Space Force, Army, Navy, Airforce, Marine Corps, Missile Defense Agency, and classified customers.
• Curate a pipeline of new business opportunities, to include qualification, pursuit and re-assessment on an ongoing basis. Manage Win Plan components, new business fund resources, and Capture Team support for business development responsibilities.
• Lead all SEMS Advanced Concepts Contract Research and Development (CRAD) and Science & Technology (S&T) capture efforts in support of the active sensing technology roadmap.
• Specific focus will be on developing and executing strategy for Horizon 3 technologies and developing technology and products for space-based sensing.
• Identify, shape, qualify, pursue, and capture new business opportunities that advance next generation Lockheed Martin (LM) technology and increase Department of Defense warfighting capability. Specific focus on customer funded S&T Research and Development (R&D) opportunities that will feed into the SEMS sensing technology roadmap.
• Establish, maintain, and expand relationships with government labs, acquisition customers, and warfighters to gain a detailed understanding of their near-, mid-, and long-term capability gaps and identify LM technology solutions.
• Coordinate and lead cross-organization teams to mature LM, RMS, and SEMS' Active RF, Signal Processing, and 5G product offerings, develop prototypes, and shape next generation architectures.
• Collaborate with SEMS Market Segments to position for mid- and long-term capture opportunities by driving future product strategies, investments, and partnering opportunities.
• Define and lead operational analysis efforts to identify and validate advanced system solutions to solve customer needs and fill capability gaps.
• Manage New Business Fund (NBF) accounts: Market Assist, Bid & Proposal, and Internal Research and Development funds.
• Develop, review, and execute capture and customer engagement plans in support of current and next generation opportunities.
• Develop next generation strategies and proposals and brief them to LM Leadership.
• Assist in development of product and technology roadmaps.
• Conduct all business in strict compliance with all corporate command media and applicable state, federal, and international regulations.
Basic Qualifications:
• 10+ years of engineering, program management, business development, or military experience including experience with active and passive sensing, Electronic Warfare, Artificial Intelligence, and Distributed Architecture Technologies.
• Experience working capture, S&T, and prototyping activities associated with advanced RF sensing and electronics.
• Proven ability to capture CRAD and S&T opportunities and transition technology into Programs of Record.
• Experience shaping, capturing, and executing CRAD and S&T projects.
• Experience analyzing DoD customer requirements, warfighting needs, and identifying technology solutions.
• Strong technical skills and the ability to synthesize a broad range of information to identify potential solutions for customer requirements.
• Superior awareness of, and ability to effectively interact with, current and potential DOD customers.
• Team Player - Strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills and demonstrated ability to lead and work in cross-functional teams.
• A high degree of flexibility and the ability to travel when required.
• Must be self-motivated and able to operate with minimal guidance in a highly competitive environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly articulate strategies, technology capabilities, and warfighter benefits to LM and Government Leaders.
Desired Skills:
• Experience with the US Space Force, affiliated labs, and Lockheed Martin Space.
• Broad knowledge of Lockheed Martin products and services in the sensing domain.
• Experience with the cyber and spectrum dominance domains.
• Direct experience and active engagement with DOD Labs [Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), Air Force Research Laboratory (ARL), Office of Naval Research (ONR), Naval Research Laboratories (NRL), Army Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO), Strategic Capabilities Office (SCO)]
• Direct experience leading complex research and development projects and cross functional teams.
• Masters degree in Business or Engineering

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $151,200 - $266,570. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $173,900 - $301,415. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
