The SAOC Program is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager II to join our Modification Integrated Product Team (IPT). This pivotal role will focus on overseeing and managing all aspects of aircraft maintenance activities, ensuring the seamless execution of projects within the program. Responsibilites:
Leadership and Oversight:
- Provide strategic direction and oversight for the Modification IPT's aircraft maintenance projects, ensuring alignment with program goals and objectives.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective integration and execution of maintenance activities.
EVM CAM Accountability:
- Serve as the Control Account Manager (CAM) for EVM, responsible for tracking and reporting on cost and schedule performance.
- Implement and maintain EVM processes to ensure accurate forecasting, budgeting, and performance measurement.
- Cost and Schedule Management:
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules and budgets, ensuring adherence to financial and time constraints.
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures and efficiency improvements.
- Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with FAA regulations, industry standards, and customer requirements.
- Maintain the highest standards of quality to ensure the safety and reliability of aircraft.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as the primary point of contact for maintenance-related inquiries, fostering strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Communicate project status, challenges, and successes to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project objectives.
- Continuously monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance activities.
- Leverage lessons learned and best practices to optimize project outcomes.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in aircraft maintenance management or a related role.
- Proven experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and Control Account Management (CAM).
- Strong understanding of FAA regulations and industry standards related to aircraft maintenance.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret US Clearance
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification (will not be considered in lieu of required experience)
- Advanced degree in Business, Management, Engineering or related field (may be considered in lieu of 1 year of required project/program management experience)
- Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS)
- Working knowledge of Program Management Institute Program Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)
- Managing projects using Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), agile and or spiral development models
- Managing projects requiring Earned Value Management
- Understanding with application tools and data architectures
- Ability to reinforce the usage & application of Corporate PM tools.
- Ability to participate in PM process & tool improvement initiatives for the Business Area.
- Ability to keep program management informed of function & process changes within project controls.
- Ability to enhance program management expertise in the staff
- Ability to establish new & further refining existing templates, tools, & guidelines for program documentation & execution
- Experience with ensuring compliance with approved Corporate and ISO 9001:2000 Policies and Processes
