Duties
The primary purpose or this position is: To accomplish a variety of tasks in lssue Procedures and Repair Cycle that are assigned to the organization. Also maintains applicable supply related functions such as Local Manufacture, DIFM, Storage Areas and Turnarounds but are not limited to these functions only.
1. Performs various supply tasks Involved In maintaining and operating storage areas for aircraft
parts/equipment. Controls local manufacture program. Control and maintain flow and status of repair cycle assets program.
2. Performs various supply tasks involved in the verification process and/or parts ordering procedures.
3. Provide technical supply assistance and customer support to maintenance personnel.
4. Independently utilizes various DOD and Air Force technical supply manuals, directives and policies in administering one or more of the following: (i.e. TCTO's, Time Changes, Gold Flag, Bench Stock, CTK's, PMEL. Reusable Containers, Precious Metals, Supply Point, QRL, PQDR's, DMAS, MASS, Functional Checks. Critical items, Procedural Surveillance Visits, Direct NRTS.)
5. Using appropriate guidance and multiple integrated systems; collects supply data, analyzes, resolves problems, and determines best course of action. Also uses same supply systems to research asset availability within the supply system. When asset is not available in air force supply systems, Identifies alternate sources of supply.

Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C for the WG-6900-Warehousing And Stock Handling Family. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.
JOB ELEMENTS: Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of the standard base supply system (SBSS) to ensure supply related support is provided. Thorough knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to specific assignments.
2. Skill in preparing documents pertaining to parts routing activities, effectively communicates with others in resolving problems. Skill in maintaining technical manuals and regulations required to accomplish assigned tasks.
3. Ability to meet production schedules. Knowledge of parts and equipment.
4. Knowledge of Production/Repair functions, Maintenance schedules, and other related activities. Ability to check routing documents for accuracy in order to complete the process.
5. Ability to identify parts and materials to maintain production.
6. Ability to operate data automation / computer systems and a working knowledge of procedures and techniques.
Other significant facts:
1. Maintains personal contact with Supply and Maintenance Control to provide adequate support for the maintenance activity. May be required to be in military aircraft for TOY purposes. May be required to operate a government vehicle in order to accomplish pick-up and delivery of pans, materials. etc.: if required. must posses. or be able to obtain a valid government motor vehicle operators license. May be required to work overtime Maintains technical manual and regulations required to accomplish assigned duties. Inserts changes and performs required inspections to keep manuals and regulations current. Performs other related duties as assigned.
2. This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position. The incumbent is required to meet and maintain Air Force Reserve requirements. Work schedule will be aligned to allow incumbent to fully participate in unit training assemblies (UTA). The incumbents regular assignments are ART duties; however, the incumbent may be assigned some non-ART duties. Generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities. May be required to fly in commercial and military aircraft to perform temporary/permanent duty assignments.
FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Frequently lists and carries parts and materials of various weights (up to 60lb.) Considerable standing, walking and bending.
ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: Usually works inside building with occasional outside work in inclement weather.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
