In support of ARPA-H, Blu Omega is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Legislative Affairs SETA to serve as a vital bridge between the agency and Congress. This role offers the opportunity to influence legislative initiatives, support high-level briefings and visits, and keep our leadership informed of the latest developments in federal policy. Perfect for candidates passionate about shaping policy and engaging with Congressional stakeholders, this position is instrumental in advancing ARPA-H's mission through expert legislative analysis and relationship building.
Location: 2 days a week at 1301 K St NW, DC- Some travel expected to Congressional sessions, events, and meetings.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze key legislative and Congressional updates relevant to ARPA-H programs.
- Synthesize, summarize, and present legislative insights to agency leadership.
- Identify Congressional members with interests aligned to ARPA-H initiatives.
- Support planning of Congressional briefings, visits, and strategic engagements.
- Research, track, and report on legislation pertinent to ARPA-H activities, ensuring staff remain informed.
- Draft comprehensive reports on legislative priorities and opportunities.
- Create compelling presentations and talking points communicating agency objectives for leadership and staff.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in legislative affairs, policy, or lobbying.
- At least 2+ years working within Congressional Affairs or directly with members of Congress.
- Proven experience in interacting and communicating with senior-level executives, including SES or GS-15.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as political science, public policy, or related discipline.
Nice to Haves:
- Experience in a startup or innovative organizational setting.
- Prior experience with ARPA-related or federal research programs.
- Familiarity with legislative tracking tools and databases.
- Strong strategic thinking and presentation skills.
Salary Range: $85K - $120K
