Job Description
***Must have an active (or ability to obtain) TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance***
The Lead Custodian is responsible for coordinating and overseeing daily custodial operations to ensure all assigned areas are cleaned, maintained, and kept in orderly condition. This role provides direction and scheduling for Custodians, ensures work is completed to required standards, and supports management in maintaining a safe, secure, and efficient facility environment. The Lead Custodian will also perform custodial duties as needed and serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day custodial activities.
Key responsibilities include:
• Assigning, directing, and scheduling Custodians for daily, weekly, and project-based cleaning tasks
• Monitoring and inspecting work areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness, safety, and security expectations
• Performing routine custodial duties such as sweeping, mopping, trash removal, dusting, and restroom cleaning
• Supporting heavy cleaning activities when required, including floor care, carpet cleaning, and deep-clean assignments
• Training new Custodians on cleaning procedures, equipment usage, and safety protocols
• Reporting any maintenance, repair needs, or safety concerns to site management
• Maintaining inventory of custodial supplies and coordinating replenishment
• Ensuring compliance with all site policies, security requirements, and quality standards
• Other duties as assigned
Salary Rate: $30.00/hour + Fringe $4.98/hour

Basic Job Requirements
A combination of education and directly related custodial/janitorial experience equal to four (4) years*
• Experience providing guidance, direction, or oversight to other custodial staff
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete custodial and facility support tasks
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work in a time-conscious, time-effective, and safety-focused manner

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must have an active (or ability to obtain) TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
• Must demonstrate basic computer knowledge (e.g., email, internet, Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel) required to conduct company business
• Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment or materials in accordance with site requirements
• Ability to work in a secure facility and follow all security protocols
Preferred Qualifications
• Local candidates preferred
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
• Previous experience in a lead or supervisory custodial role
• Experience working in secure or high-sensitivity environments
