Koniag Management Solutions (KMS) is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Technical Architect to join our IT team and lead the design and architecture of enterprise-scale ServiceNow (SNOW) solutions that drive digital transformation and operational excellence. This strategic role requires a visionary technologist who can translate complex business requirements into elegant, scalable technical architecture while ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and best practices. The ideal candidate will serve as a primary technical point of contact for the ServiceNow platform, providing architectural leadership, technical governance, and strategic guidance across all ServiceNow initiatives.
The ServiceNow Technical Architect will be responsible for defining the technical vision, architecture standards, and strategic roadmap for the ServiceNow platform. This individual will work closely with executive leadership, business stakeholders, IT teams, and development resources to ensure ServiceNow solutions are architected for scalability, performance, security, and long-term sustainability.

The ServiceNow Technical Architect will be responsible for defining the technical vision, architecture standards, and strategic roadmap for the ServiceNow platform. This individual will work closely with executive leadership, business stakeholders, IT teams, and development resources to ensure ServiceNow solutions are architected for scalability, performance, security, and long-term sustainability.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Define and maintain the overall ServiceNow technical architecture and strategic roadmap
- Lead architectural design sessions around ServiceNow implementations
- Create comprehensive architecture documentation including solution designs, data models, integration patterns, and technical specifications
- Establish and enforce ServiceNow development standards, best practices, and governance frameworks
- Design scalable integration architectures between ServiceNow and enterprise applications using REST, SOAP, MID Servers, and IntegrationHub
- Evaluate and recommend ServiceNow modules, applications, and third-party solutions to meet business requirements, present technical architecture and recommendations to executive leadership and steering committee
- Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical guidance on customizations, configurations, and implementations while collaborating with IT team(s) to ensure ServiceNow aligns with overall IT strategy
- Lead platform optimization efforts including performance tuning, scalability planning, and technical debt remediation
- Design and implement enterprise data models, CMDB architecture, and configuration management strategies
- Oversee technical aspects of ServiceNow platform upgrades, migrations, and support release management
- Assess emerging ServiceNow capabilities and technologies, recommending strategic adoption plans
- Partner with security specialists to define security architecture and ensure compliance with organizational security and regulatory requirements
- Serve as primary technical escalation point for complex technical challenges and issues
- Lead proof-of-concept initiatives for new ServiceNow capabilities and innovations
- Support Agile development approach for feature and platform delivery
- Support change management activities related to ServiceNow implementation
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer science, Information Technology, or related field, & or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 8-10 years of IT experience with at least 5-7 years focused on ServiceNow platform
- At least 3-5 years of experience in ServiceNow architecture or senior technical leadership role
- Proven track record of architecting and delivering multiple large-scale enterprise ServiceNow implementations
- Deep experience across multiple ServiceNow product lines (i.e. ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, CSM, HR, Security Operations, GRC, IntegrationHub)
- Experience leading technical teams and driving architectural decisions
- Demonstrated experience with ServiceNow platform upgrades and complex migration projects
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Experience with ServiceNow Performance Analytics and Reporting
- Experience with ServiceNow ITOM Discovery, Service Mapping, or Event Management
- Experience with ServiceNow ATF (Automated Test Framework)
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture, data models, and configuration management database (CMDB)
- Understanding of ITIL processes and best practices and knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work independently & with teams to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality, and customer focus on delivering business value
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and delivery processes
- Capability to adapt to changing requirements and project dynamics
Desired Skills and Competencies:
- ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) - highly preferred
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Architect (CIA) or Specialist (CIS)
- TOGAF, Zachman, or other enterprise architecture framework certification
- Experience with ServiceNow Performance Analytics and predictive intelligence
- Knowledge of AI/ML integration with ServiceNow (Predictive Intelligence, Virtual Agent)
- Experience with ServiceNow ITBM suite (Project Portfolio Management, Agile Development)
- Expertise in ServiceNow Customer Service Management and Field Service Management
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud-native architectures
- Experience with modern API management platforms and API gateways
- Knowledge of SIEM integration and security operations architecture
- Experience with mobile application architecture and development
- Proficiency in additional programming languages (Python, Java, PowerShell)
- Prior government consulting experience
