.PRIMARY FUNCTION
Responsible for providing support to a variety of programs covering all security administrative functions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Manage the receipt, custody, utilization, and disposal of all COMSEC material and equipment utilizing the DIAS system.
• Ship/receive all COMSEC related items in accordance with the National Security Agency (NSA).
• Control the loading of classified keys via electronic transmission on security communications using simple key loader equipment.
• Ensure all contractor personnel are briefed and trained on proper handling of COMSEC.
• Document and report any COMSEC infractions to National Security Agency (NSA).
• Communicate professionally and effectively with NSA and Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) representatives.
• Maintain and administer comprehensive security training and awareness throughout the organization.
• Perform database searches for information related to personnel security matters.
• Distribute, approve, and file personnel security documentation.
• Operate, maintain, and control a system of identification for all employees including contractors and visitors.
• Provide professional, courteous, and helpful customer service.
• Perform semi-annual and annual inventory/assessments as required by the user agency.
• Work with new and existing employees through the clearance process and badging processes.
• Process security clearance and background investigation documentation in preparation for adjudication; troubleshoot all system generated issues within system of record.
• Initiate and maintain contractors access to secured systems and military installations through proper channels.
• Write security policies, procedures and training as needed.
• Primary POC for classified document control.
• Maintain Safes and combinations, and change combinations as required.
• Report all security violations or infractions to FSO in timely manner.
• Fingerprint individuals, create EFT files and upload files to Secure Web Fingerprint Transmission (SWFT).
• Aid FSO with updating National Industrial Security System (NISS)/using NISS to view facility clearance information.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no direct reports.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
• Extensive knowledge of COMSEC procedures.
• Extensive knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM).
• Basic knowledge of NISS.
• General knowledge of SWFT.
• Knowledgeable of changes in security processes and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to positively interact with government representatives and company employees on all levels.
• Ability to understand and implement DoD security requirements.
• Ability to multitask and complete those tasks quickly.
• Vast knowledge of DoD industry processes and inner workings.
• Ability to work with other functional areas of the company in positive and timely manner.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or equivalent and six (6) years of experience working in a security related position OR Bachelor's degree in related field and four (4) years of experience working in a security related position.
• Two (2) years of COMSEC/DIAS experience and DISS experience.
• Completion of FSO Program Management for Possessing and Maintaining Facilities.
• Completion of COMSEC/DIAS training.
• Active Secret security clearance is required and must be able to obtain TS if required.
• Must pass a background screening and drug test.
