Overview

Abile Group is anticipating future openings supporting security operations across multiple disciplines, including personnel security, physical security, classification management, and investigations. These roles partner closely with internal teams and government stakeholders within the DoD and Intelligence Community. Specialty positions - such as Area Security Officers and SCIF/Facility Security roles -may also become available.

Responsibilities

  • Supports and manages security programs by monitoring actions, tracking milestones, maintaining records, and preparing required documentation.
  • Coordinates with internal teams, external partners, and IC/DoD organizations to ensure compliance with applicable directives, policies, and standards.
  • Reviews, interprets, and applies security policy related to classified information handling, access, dissemination, and safeguarding.
  • Maintains and updates security systems, files, and databases (e.g., PeopleSoft, DISS, Scattered Castles, SharePoint).
  • Conducts inspections, assessments, risk surveys, and assistance visits as needed.
  • Prepares briefings, reports, correspondence, and program updates for leadership and customers.
  • Analyzes security-related data to resolve issues, identifies risks, and recommends improvements.
  • Supports personnel security actions including case initiation, investigation tracking, CE/CV tasks, reinvestigation actions, and HSPD-12 processing.
  • Assists in onboarding coordination with PMs, CORs, FSOs, and external agencies.

Specialty Roles May Include:
  • Area Security Officer (ASO) - Oversees day-to-day security operations for assigned areas and serves as a liaison for facility, personnel, and program security matters.
  • Physical Security / SCIF Specialist - Supports SCIF and secure area lifecycle activities including accreditation, inspections, compliance reviews, and documentation preparation.
  • Personnel Security (PERSEC) Specialist - Executes daily PERSEC actions such as reviewing SF-85/86, analyzing security repositories, updating systems of record, and supporting adjudication workflows.
  • Continuous Evaluation/Vetting Investigator - Conducts interviews, gathers information, prepares accurate Reports of Investigation (ROIs), and collaborates with adjudications.
  • Classification Management Specialist - Provides classification guidance, marking assistance, training, and support in accordance with IC/ODNI standards.


Qualifications

Clearance Required: TS/SCI with ability to obtain a CI Poly.

Degree and Years of Experience: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field.
  • Experience requirements vary by level, ranging from 2+ years to 10+ years in security disciplines within the DoD/IC.

Required Skills:
  • Knowledge of DoD/IC security policies, directives, and standards.
  • Experience with security databases/systems (e.g., DISS, Scattered Castles, PeopleSoft, eQIP).
  • Strong communication, briefing, and writing skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex security issues and recommend solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Desired Skills (Varies by role):
  • Certifications such as SFPC, PSC, ASIS credentials, FBITP, or ICD-705.
  • Experience supporting SCIF accreditation, PERSEC casework, investigations, or classification management.
