Systems Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Systems Engineer to support a company focused on security systems within the DOD. This position is remote (DMV area preferred ). This opportunity is supporting a national leader in secure, resilient power and technology systems. The specialist will design, implement, and maintain secure systems architecture aligned with federal compliance standards. Responsibilities for the Systems Engineer include:

• Develop and maintain secure system configurations and architecture.
• Ensure compliance with IRS security and data protection requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into system design.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues.

Required Qualifications for the Systems Engineer include:

• 5+ years of experience with systems engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux environments.
• Familiarity with federal security standards (FISMA, NIST).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred).
• Ability to obtain and maintain IRS Public Trust

Compensation for the Systems Engineer include:

• Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 depending on experience.
• Full Benefits Package: PTO, Paid Holidays, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Tuition Reimbursement, Sick leave as required by law.
