Job Description
We are seeking multiple Systems Administrators to submit as key personnel on an upcoming opportunity to supportSCSTC- Surface Combat Systems Training Command in Dahlgren, Virginia. The Systems Administratorswill perform system and network administration for SCSTC-controlled systems and LANs, including installation, configuration, operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, security patching, and support for electronic classroom deployment.
Key Duties
Install, configure, operate, maintain, and manage servers, workstations, operating systems, and network infrastructure across SCSTC training networks and standalone assets. Manage user and privileged accounts, network rights, and system access; implement and enforce group policies, access control lists, and local usage policies. Troubleshoot and repair hardware, software, and interoperability issues; diagnose network connectivity problems; perform configuration changes, upgrades, and performance tuning. Ensure timely application of security patches, baseline configuration, and STIG compliance; support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery/COOP activities. Provide phone/email helpdesk support and incident documentation via the organization's ticketing/solution database, supporting required shifts for 24/5 coverage.
Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). 3-5+ years of experience administering Microsoft Windows, Linux/Unix, and related enterprise services in a DoD or large enterprise environment. Experience with directory services, group policy, backup and recovery, and standard networking concepts. Active DoD Secret clearance; able to achieve/maintain IT Level-1 designation for privileged access, including OS/CE training and SAAR-N privileged agreements. Certifications
Must meet DoDM 8140.03 / DoD 8570.01-M Cyberspace Workforce qualification requirements for assigned DCWF role codes. Required IAT Level II baseline certification: one of Security+ (baseline), CASP, or CISSP.
