Job Description
Join Our Team as a Enterprise Operations Manager
At BAE Systems, we're dedicated to delivering innovative solutions that make a meaningful impact. As a leading provider of enterprise IT services, we're seeking an Enterprise Operations Manager to oversee the operations and related processes for a large government customer. As a Enterprise Operations Manager with our team, you'll be part of a dynamic and collaborative environment that values innovation, teamwork, and excellence.
The Enterprise Operations Manager will embody a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the daily operations, service delivery, and performance management of complex federal IT enterprise systems supporting mission-critical government operations. This senior-level position requires a seasoned professional who can bridge the gap between technical operations, program management, and executive leadership while ensuring seamless delivery of IT services. The Enterprise Operations Manager will lead cross-functional teams of system administrators, engineers, and technical support staff while maintaining accountability for operational excellence, service level agreement (SLA) compliance, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role demands a unique combination of technical depth, operational leadership, and program management expertise to navigate the complexities of federal IT environments including FedRAMP-authorized cloud platforms, on-premises data centers, hybrid architectures, and secure classified networks. The Enterprise Operations Manager must possess strong stakeholder management capabilities to effectively communicate with government clients including Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs), Technical Points of Contact (TPOCs), and senior government leadership while translating complex technical operations into business value and mission impact. Provide subject matter expertise in network administration, network support, management, switching, and routing to ensure smooth functioning of the network.
The Enterprise Operations Manager will establish and enforce operational procedures, incident response protocols, change management processes, and disaster recovery capabilities while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation. This individual must demonstrate exceptional problem-solving abilities to address complex technical challenges, operational disruptions, and stakeholder conflicts while maintaining composure under pressure in 24/7/365 mission-critical environments. The role requires active participation in on-call rotations for critical incidents, coordination of major system upgrades and maintenance windows, and leadership during crisis situations including security breaches, natural disasters, or significant service outages.
