Data Engineer - Mid-Level

As a Data Engineer at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A), some of your duties will include designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data integration solutions to support critical missions and enhance data accessibility across multiple DoD customers. You will leverage ETL platforms, cloud technologies, and data transformation processes to ensure secure, efficient, and accurate data delivery.
  • Design, code, and maintain ETL workflows to transform, validate, and deliver data efficiently.
  • Clean and normalize values and standardize data types.
  • Deduplicate records and apply schema enforcements.
  • Apply error handling and data quality rules.
  • Aggregate and summarize data.
  • Integrate data from different tables for analysis.

Experience and Qualifications:

To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:

Required Education and Years of Experience:
  • 9 Years of experience in Software or Data Engineering roles or a highly related field of work with similar scope and responsibilities.
  • A Bachelor's degree may be substituted for 4 years of experience and a Master's Degree may alternatively be substituted for 6 years of experience

Required Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI with an active CI Polygraph
  • Strong Python programming skills
  • Experience building ETL pipelines, managing data pipelines, and working with large datasets using tools like Spark, Python, and/or SQL
  • Experience with Spark, Jupyter Notebook, Python and relational databases

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience collaborating with data scientists.
  • Solid SQL knowledge for querying and data manipulation
  • Cloud platform experience, such as AWS, Azure, etc.
  • Specialization using the Databricks platform for building, deploying, and managing data and AI solutions
  • Experience with technologies like Delta Lake, Delta Live Tables, and Databricks Workflows
  • Experience with Advana

Telework/Remote Availability: Limited Telework/Remote work currently authorized

Summary Pay Range:

Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
