About this position: The Security Operations Center (SOC) Manager is responsible for leading and managing the SOC, ensuring effective detection, analysis, and response to cybersecurity incidents. The SOC Manager oversees a team of analysts, develops and maintains procedures and playbooks, manages incident response activities, and ensures continuous monitoring and situational awareness across the network and security systems.

Salary Range: 120k - 200k Commensurate with position title, skills, experience, location, and qualifications

On a day-to-day basis, you will:
  • Manage and operate the Security Operations Center.
  • Lead a team of SOC analysts in incident detection, triage, and escalation.
  • Develop and maintain SOC procedures, playbooks, and training materials.
  • Oversee continuous monitoring of security systems and networks.
  • Coordinate response activities with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely identification and response to security alerts and incidents.
  • Maintain SOC event logs, reports, and metrics for Government review.
  • Apply advanced Cyber Defense Analyst skills (DCWF 511) to monitor network traffic, detect anomalies, correlate events, and research adversary tactics.

  • Required Education/Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or related field and/or 10+ years of progressively complex experience in cybersecurity operations, analysis, or incident response.
    • Secret Security Clearance.
    • Certifications:
      • CompTIA Security+
      • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
    • Familiarity and/or expertise with tools including: ACAS, ESS, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint/Server (MDE/S), SIEM, SOAR, UAM, IDS/IPS, COAMS, CMRS, Tanium, PAM, central application vulnerability management, SAST, DAST, OSLVS, CONSEC, and SSCM.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience with automation, SOAR playbooks, and detection engineering.
