General Function:
- Develop software using Java, Python, Go, or C++.
- Support engineering for Naval Control Systems (NCS), Industrial Control Systems (ICS), and automated warehouse systems.
- Provide SME support for cybersecurity system architectures and DevSecOps pipelines.
- Assist in machine learning and AI model development.
- Support engineering documentation, diagrams, design reviews, and technical oversight.
Qualifications:
Education/Certifications/Experience/Skills:
- Master of Science (MS) Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited program, or MS Degree in one of the following fields: Computer Science, Data Science, Information Sciences, Artificial Intelligence, or Machine Learning.
- 7+ years of professional experience. Relevant experience should include experience as an electrical/computer/software engineer or as a computer/data/information scientist working with hardware/software systems in environments such as NCS, ICS, or warehouse automation, with specific focus on cybersecurity systems, DevOps, or Machine Learning.
- IAT Level III Certification: CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate).
- Must possess and maintain a government security clearance at the Secret level.
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft programs (including Excel, Word, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, and Project).
- Must be able to perform all functional duties independently.
- Must be able to transport self to various facility sites, as required. If using own motor vehicle, must possess a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
Preferred:
- Experience in MATLAB, R, Python, or other analytical programming languages.
- Experience with Navy software development efforts.
- Familiarity with Navy cybersecurity environments.
