General Function: .

• Apply senior-level systems engineering principles to the design, development, evaluation, integration, and sustainment of hardware/software systems.
• Lead development and analysis activities supporting Navy control systems, ICS environments, and automation systems.
• Perform expert diagnosis and resolution of engineering issues across complex hardware and software systems in environments such as: NCS, ICS, warehouse automation systems.
• Interpret, analyze, and develop electrical schematics and network diagrams to support system design, troubleshooting, and integration.
• Troubleshoot and evaluate network-based systems, ensuring performance, reliability, and compliance with Navy requirements.
• Apply advanced Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) standards and frameworks, including: Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI), Object Management Group (OMG), Unified Architecture Framework (UAF), DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF).
• Support documentation, modeling, and system architecture development using MBSE principles.
• Participate in Agile development processes and provide oversight on engineering tasks aligned with iterative development methodologies.
• Support engineering documentation, configuration control, test procedures, system verification, and validation activities.
• Coordinate with Navy stakeholders, fleet stakeholders, and cross-functional engineering teams.

Qualifications:

Education/Certifications/Experience/Skills:

• MS Degree in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 10+ years of professional experience within industry as a system, electrical, and/or electronics engineer. Experience should include troubleshooting hardware/software systems in environments such as NCS, ICS, or warehouse automation, reading electrical schematics and/or network diagrams, and troubleshooting network-based systems.
• IAT Level III Certification: CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate).
• Must possess and maintain a government security clearance at the Secret level.
• Superior teamwork skills and working within cross-functional teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft programs (including Excel, Word, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, and Project).
• Must be able to perform all functional duties independently.
• Must be able to transport self to various facility sites, as required. If using own motor vehicle, must possess a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.

Preferred:

• 5+ years of professional experience applying CMMI, OMG, UAF, or DoDAF MBSE standards.
• Agile Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certification.
• Experience with Navy software development efforts.
• Familiarity with Navy cybersecurity environments.
