We are seeking a Production Controller for the
Missile Body Operations Department at the Strategic
Weapons Facility Atlantic (SWFLANT) in Kings Bay,
GA.
In this role you will:
• Own responsibility for D5 missile processing,
support equipment maintenance, inspection, and
building operations.
• Perform duties of a Production Controller (PC) and
serve as backup to the Building Group Lead as
required.
• Plan, prepare, and coordinate activities that impact
schedules production and inspection activities
including large motor X-ray, small ordnance X-ray,
and other non-destructive testing operations in the
Radiographic Inspection Building.
• Provide backup PC support to motor assembly,
disassembly and recertification in the Motor
Inspection Building as required.
• Expedite the timely resolution of issues that impede
the production process flow.
• Report and analyze status of production activities
and contract deliverables; coordinating Special
Support Equipment (SSE) / facility maintenance
schedules and requirements; acting as liaison among
other LM-SWFLANT organizations relating to missile
inspection and production support requirements; and
performing root cause / corrective actions, and other
collateral duties.
Stay abreast of work schedules and develop plans
and workarounds/recovery schedules as necessary to
support meeting schedule.
• Maintain close and continual working relationships
with other SWFLANT organizations including Program
Planning & Documentation, Operations Support, and
Handling & Transportation work groups to optimally
plan and coordinate the movement of hardware into
and out of the building.
• Review operational requirements and command
media.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a
related discipline, or equivalent experience /
combined education.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Arms,
Ammunition, and Explosives (AA&E) certification
• Willing to work extended hours, shift work, and
weekends on a regular basis
• Experience with production documentation and
computer systems SAP & IMPS
You will need to be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance to support this government contract. No clearance is required to apply. An interim Secret clearance is required prior to start.
Desired Skills:
Active DoD Secret clearance.
• Knowledge of production documentation and
computer systems such as AMOS and
IMAP
• D5 missile and/or component processing experience
• Demonstrated sustained performance (accuracy,
closure, industriousness)
• Proven problem resolution skills, computer, and
organizational skills
• Proven self-starter
• Experience understanding, interpreting, and
implementing production schedules

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
