MANTECH seeks a motivated, career- and customer-oriented Systems Deployment Specialist to join our team in Chantilly, VA.
The Systems Deployment Specialist must exhibit good judgment in interfacing with all government and contract personnel, providing proper examples of work performance, and adherence to professional standards and operational and security guidelines as defined by the Government and ManTech International, Inc. As a key member of our deployment team, the Systems Deployment Specialist will support mission-critical technology refreshes, new site activations, and global system deployments.

The Systems Deployment Specialist must exhibit good judgment in interfacing with all government and contract personnel, providing proper examples of work performance, and adherence to professional standards and operational and security guidelines as defined by the Government and ManTech International, Inc. As a key member of our deployment team, the Systems Deployment Specialist will support mission-critical technology refreshes, new site activations, and global system deployments.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot workstation hardware/software solutions-including Windows 10/11 and peripheral devices.
- Perform QA testing, document results, and collaborate across teams.
- Analyze and resolve unclassified hardware/software issues and maintain deployment documentation.
- Prepare and update installation manuals, training materials, trip reports, and test plans.
- Train site personnel on deployed systems.
- Provide daily deployment status updates to leadership and customer stakeholders.
- 5 years of IT or related experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent technical experience/certifications.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and desktop support.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making.
- Experience in Desktop Support.
- Ability to travel up to 75% internationally.
- One or more technical certifications (Comp TIA ITF+, A+, Network+, Security+, MS Endpoint Administrator) highly preferred
- Experience training end users on complex systems.
- Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
- Experience with scripting languages (JavaScript, VB Script, Python, LUA).
- Active Secret clearance preferred.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain an Interim Secret clearance prior to starting.
- The majority of work will be performed within a professional office environment. However, deployments can require the individual to lift and move computer and other equipment up to 50lbs. weight, as well as being able to push a wheeled dolly with multiple computer systems loaded. Position may require bending, kneeling, or crawling to get to cables under/behind furniture and server racks.
- Must be able to fly on international flights up to 18 hours.
- Must be able to remain in stationary position for up to 50% of the time.
- Must be able to physically lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to perform installation work in constrained spaces like under work desks, in small cubicles, and network/server rooms.
- Must be able to deliver clear and effective communication both verbally and non-verbally to deliver updates; briefings; or interface with co-workers; leadership as well as customer.
- Must be able to work in an office environment and be able to freely move within this space to utilize office equipment as well as interface with co-workers and customer.
- Must be able to effectively use IT devices/peripherals such as laptop, desktop, printer, etc.
- Must be able to deliver presentations as needed.
- Must be able to review; decipher and understand program manuals; software/hardware manuals; training manuals; etc.
