Description
SAIC is seeking a Project Scheduler to support the Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) program in Huntsville, AL. This position serves as a key member of the program management team, combining schedule management, program analysis, and administrative coordination responsibilities.
The primary focus of this role is maintaining schedule alignment between SAIC's IFMC contract team and the government program office. Additionally, the successful candidate will support program analysis functions including cost tracking, metrics reporting, and CDRL management, as well as coordinate travel for the contract team. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work across multiple functional areas simultaneously.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the contractor integrated master schedule (IMS) using Microsoft Project
- Coordinate with the IFMC government program office to deconflict and align contractor and government schedules
- Attend program office schedule syncs, IPTs, and coordination meetings as the SAIC schedule representative
- Track contract deliverables, milestones, and key dates to ensure alignment with program office expectations
- Identify and communicate schedule conflicts, dependencies, and risks to the Program Manager
- Generate weekly schedule status updates and milestone tracking reports
- Develop and maintain program metrics dashboards using Power BI and Excel
- Track CDRL due dates, coordinate inputs from technical leads, and support submission to the government
- Coordinate and document IPT meetings, program reviews, and technical interchanges; capture and track action items
- Coordinate travel arrangements for contract team member using Concur or related systems.
Qualifications
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, or related field and two (2) years of relevant experience; Additional six (6) years of experience can be considered in lieu of degree (per contract vehicle).
Clearance Requirements:
- Must possess an active Secret security clearance or have the ability to obtain one; US Citizenship required.
Required Skills:
- Minimum two (2) years of experience with Microsoft Project
- Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) or defense contractor environment
- Experience supporting U.S. Army programs
- Demonstrated experience coordinating schedules between contractor and government program offices
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis) and PowerPoint
- Experience with corporate travel systems (Concur or similar)
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred:
- Experience with IFMC, IBCS, or related Army fire control/missile defense programs
- Experience with Power BI for dashboard development and data visualization
- Familiarity with Jira for task tracking and agile project management
