The Compliance and Security Specialist support Dynamo Technologies’ corporate compliance, security, and information assurance programs. This position combines elements of compliance analysis, security officer functions, and information security management system (ISMS) coordination. The role ensures adherence to federal, DoD, and industry standards, including the NISPOM (32 CFR Part 117) and ISO 27001, while supporting physical and personnel security operations.
Note: This role requires at least two days per week in-person at our Vienna, VA HQ office, and potential for more in-office days as needed.
Duties/ Responsibilities
Assist the Facility Security Officer (FSO) with day-to-day security operations and program support in compliance with DCSA and NISPOM requirements.
Process and track personnel security clearances, investigations, and training through systems such as DISS, NISS, and NBIS.
Maintain and secure employee security files, ensuring protection of personally identifiable information (PII).
Support preparation and coordination of DCSA inspections and internal compliance reviews.
Respond to security incidents as needed • Assist with the implementation and documentation of ISMS processes, including maintaining ISO 27001 compliance activities and risk control tracking.
Help develop, update, and maintain security and compliance policies, procedures, and training materials.
Conduct or assist with new hire onboarding, security briefings, and debriefings for classified and unclassified programs.
Manage physical security-related tasks such as access badges, visitor control, and key inventory.

Support internal audits and reporting to identify and mitigate potential areas of noncompliance.
Assist with document creation, reporting, and communication related to compliance and security initiatives.
Required Skills/Abilities
Basic knowledge of security clearance processes, NISPOM, and DCSA requirements
Must have strong interpersonal skills, work independently and in a team
Proficiency with utilizing Security portals (NISS, DISS, ACCS, & NBIS)
Ability to interpret and implement security policy, provide guidance, oversight, and assistance to Dynamo leadership, managers, and employees
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong proficiency in use of Microsoft Office products
U.S. citizenship required
Nice to Have Skills
BA/BS degree preferred
DCSA FSO Program Management Certification(s)
ITPSO Program Management Course Familiarity with ISO 27001 or other compliance frameworks (ISO 9001, CMMC, etc.)
Knowledge of Joint Venture (JV) entities
Familiarity with ISO 27001 implementation or auditing processes.
Education and Experience:
BA/BS degree preferred
Minimum of 1-5 years relevant experience
