Telecom Systems Engineer - Secret Clearance

Piper Companies is looking for a Telecom Systems Engineer - Secret Clearance to join a leading telecommunications solutions provider to integrate telecom and network products and related telecom applications into secure federal customer environments. This role involves some travel and onsite work with federal clients, building configurations based on their specifications, and deploying solutions in Linux-based systems.

Responsibilities for the Telecom Systems Engineer - Secret Clearance:

• Work directly with federal customers to integrate telecom/network products and configure applications in secure environments.
• Build and deploy solutions using Linux command-line tools, networking, and routing configurations.
• Automate processes with Ansible/Python scripting and leverage virtualization/cloud platforms like VMware and AWS.
• Travel up to 25% to customer sites for hands-on integration and support.

Qualifications for the Telecom Systems Engineer - Secret Clearance:

• 5+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer or in telecom/network integration roles.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain and have an Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance.
• Strong experience with Linux environments, SSH, and command-line configuration.
• Knowledge of SIP protocols, routing, and telecom applications (Cisco CUBE, Avaya, AS platforms).
• Familiarity with virtualization (VMware) and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Scripting experience with Ansible and Python.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; DoD 8570/8140 certification preferred.

Compensation/Benefits for the Telecom Systems Engineer - Secret Clearance:

• Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 annually (depending on experience).
