What is it like to work in Subcontract Administration ?
As a Subcontract Administrator, you the following daily key responsibilities:
In this role, you will complete placement and administration of subcontracts and purchase orders, from pre-award solicitation, to selection of supplier, negotiation of price, schedule and terms and conditions, administration of subcontracts including funding, invoices and modifications, through final delivery and contrast closeout. Generate and maintain Internal Work Transfer Authorizations (IWTAs) in support of various programs. Support new business activities, including proposal inputs for material pricing and Basis of Estimates. Compliance with Lockheed Martin Acquisition Procedures and other Command Media and use of SAP, PO Folders, and Apollo systems are required.
This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in King of Prussia, PA , and be expected to work in the office.
Basic Qualifications:
To be effective, ideally, you should also have:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Supply Chain Management (i.e... Procurement, Subcontract Administration, Subcontract Management, Negotiation, and/or Category Management)
• You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US TOP SECRET clearance , to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

• This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills:
To be effective, ideally, you should also have:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management.
• 6+ years of professional experience in Supply Chain Management (i.e... Procurement, Subcontract Administration, Subcontract Management, Negotiation, and/or Category Management)
• Understanding of Government Contracting and working knowledge of the FAR.
• Utilization of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Possess effective relationship-building skills with peers, leadership and suppliers
• You bring positivity and enthusiasm to every project you touch. In addition to the work, you love being part of a team and working collaboratively through the process.
• Demonstrated exceptional strategic communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation, to effectively communicate business cases to all levels of peers, suppliers, and stakeholders, as well as program executives, with an ability to persuade and motivate action.
