You will be the Subcontract Management Senior for the THAAD Global Supply Chain team. Our team ensures the timely delivery of high-quality products to our customers, coordinating across engineering, logistics, finance, and external partners to make every piece of the puzzle fit together.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Subcontract Management Senior, you will lead the end-to-end subcontracting process for critical THAAD components, acting as the primary liaison between Lockheed Martin and our tier suppliers. You will own the strategy, execution, and risk-mitigation for subcontract agreements while mentoring junior staff and driving continuous-improvement initiatives across the supply chain.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Develop, negotiate, and execute subcontract agreements that meet cost, schedule, and performance targets.
• Monitor supplier performance against contractual obligations, conducting regular reviews and corrective action plans as needed.
• Lead risk assessments, identify potential supply chain disruptions, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with engineering, program management, quality, and logistics to align subcontract deliverables with system requirements.
• Manage the subcontract lifecycle from source selection, through award, performance monitoring, to close out.
• Drive compliance with internal policies, export control regulations, and government contract clauses.
• Prepare and present status reports, dashboards, and key metrics to senior leadership and stakeholders.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered career, or journey, level.
• Experience in subcontract management
Desired Skills:
• Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and contracting types
• In depth knowledge of all types of contracts and how to utilize which type in various program scenarios.
• Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with an ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and changes in deadlines
• Experience with long-form subcontracts utilizing Lockheed Martin Acquisition Procedures (LMAP)
• Aerospace program negotiation skills and experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and work well under pressure
• Experienced presenter to Program Management and Customer representative
• Self-Motived with a demonstrated sense of urgency and ownership, and accountability for tasks/assignments
• Strong communication skills with ability to interface with all levels of management
• Ability to be flexible and accept change
• Must be able to resolve complex problems in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks in dynamic work environment; ability to analyze a problem and recommend solutions by exercising sound problem solving skills
• Experience in Defense, government or aerospace
