As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in Portland, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and support a secure environment within an aerospace and defense location. What You'll Do:
- Monitor and control access to restricted areas within the aerospace and defense location, verifying credentials and granting entry as appropriate.
- Assist with the enforcement of site-specific policies and procedures related to access control and security-related matters.
- Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and offering assistance to employees, visitors, and contractors regarding access procedures.
- Respond to incidents and security-related situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and security-related incidents.
- Document and report any irregularities, security-related breaches, or unusual activities to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
- Participate in emergency response activities as required by site protocols and Allied Universal procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
