BE is looking for a dynamic Security Engineer to join our modernization effort on a mission critical application for our US Marine Corps stakeholder. You will be responsible for the review, design, and implementation of processes and procedures necessary to the success of the program as well as guiding the government ISSOs and systems administrators in managing the overall system within the Risk Management Framework.

Qualifications
- 10 Years of experience with:
- Developing and maintaining comprehensive Risk Management Framework (RMF) authorization packages in accordance with DoD Instruction 8510.01, NIST SP 800-53 and other applicable policies
- Creating and maintaining System Security Plans (SSPs), Security Assessment Reports (SARs), Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), and other required documentation in support of system Authority to Operate (ATO)
- Implementing and assessing security controls based on NIST SP 800-53, DoD Control Correlation Identifiers (CCIs) and DoD security technical implementation guides (STIGs)
- Developing and executing security test plans to validate the effectiveness of security controls
- Conducting security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and remediate vulnerabilities as well as mitigations to reduce residual risk
- Collaborating with system administrators, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure security requirements are integrated into system development and operations
- Working within the Risk Management Framework, FISMA or similar security framework
- Reviewing previous security packages and determining gaps
- US citizen
- Secret security clearance in good standing
- DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level III certification (e.g., Security+, CISSP, CASP+, CISA)
- Familiarity with DoD Authority to Operate (ATO), Provisional Authorizations and experience with DoD eMASS
- Familiarity with NIST Special Publications, DoD Security Policies and USMC Enterprise Cybersecurity Manuals (ECSMs)
- Leadership, good at keeping the government informed, educated, and on-track
- Experience working with USMC and/or other DoD information systems
- Experience working with Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
- Experience working with Atlassian JIRA and/or similar project tracking solution
- Knowledge of cloud security principles and practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
