Core4ce seeks a seniorSecurity Officer IV to protect and enable one of the Department of War's most distinctive missions. The All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office investigates unidentified anomalous phenomena across all operational domains-a mission requiring expert security management of Special Access Programs, compartmented intelligence, and highly sensitive information systems. You'll serve as AARO's principal security authority, managing the full spectrum of security operations from personnel clearances to physical protection to information safeguarding. This isn't a traditional security role-you'll be protecting investigations at the frontier of scientific understanding with direct national security implications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee comprehensive security support for AARO facilities and operations, developing and implementing policies across personnel, physical, operations, and information security domains. You'll serve as the primary security point of contact, coordinating seamlessly with OUSW(I&S) security offices, Special Access Program Central Office, and Special Security Office while ensuring rigorous compliance with all DoD security directives and regulations.
- Manage the complete lifecycle of clearances and access. This means processing security nomination packages with precision and timeliness, coordinating with Defense Counterintelligence & Security Agency (DCSA) on adjudication matters, monitoring clearance status for all AARO personnel and contractors, and ensuring every individual maintains the required Top Secret clearances with SCI eligibility and SAP access that AARO's mission demands.
- Implement and enforce protective measures across AARO facilities. You'll establish key control procedures maintaining strict accountability, safeguard Government equipment and property, and develop lock combination management protocols that balance security with operational needs-all while protecting sensitive information and assets from unauthorized access.
- Guardian of classified materials including SCI and SAP information at multiple classification levels. Your responsibilities span ensuring proper marking, handling, storage, and transmission of classified information, coordinating security requirements for IT systems and networks, and implementing procedures that prevent unauthorized disclosure while enabling mission execution.
- Develop and deliver security indoctrination briefings and debriefings for AARO personnel and contractors, conduct periodic awareness training to maintain organizational vigilance, and serve as the trusted security advisor to AARO leadership on best practices and emerging counterintelligence threats.
- Bridge the gap between AARO and its contractor community. You'll review DD Form 254 documents, coordinate security requirements with supporting contractors, and ensure full compliance with all applicable security procedures-critical work as contractors provide specialized capabilities essential to the mission.
- Maintain all required security records in accordance with DoD Manual 5205.07, DoD Manual 5105.21, and related directives. You'll participate in security inspections, implement corrective actions, and prepare reports demonstrating AARO's security posture to oversight authorities.
Requirements :
- Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility - non-negotiable
- 8+ years in security roles covering personnel security, physical security, information security, and industrial security within DoD or Intelligence Community settings. You've managed clearance processes, reviewed DD254s, protected classified facilities, and worked with SAP/SCI materials.
- Knowledge of DoD security regulations, NISPOM, IC Directives, and Special Access Program requirements inside and out. You understand how to balance security with mission enablement.
- Strong communicator who can brief executives and train personnel. Organized professional who manages multiple priorities. Sound decision-maker who exercises judgment on sensitive matters.
- Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience accepted
- (Highly Desired) : SPED credentials including SFPC, SAPPC, SPIPC, SPSC, ISOC, PSC, APC, or DPAPC
