AI Portfolio Manager

Description:
Our client is seeking a Portfolio/Program Manager to support the evaluation and management of 100+ AI use cases through a structured governance process. This is a process-heavy role requiring someone who can navigate multiple stakeholder groups, manage workflows through a 12-step approval process, and keep initiatives moving forward.

Responsibilities:

• Manage intake and evaluation of AI use cases through defined workflow process
• Coordinate with business stakeholders to understand use case requirements and value proposition
• Work with 12+ risk partners (compliance, security, legal, etc.) to shepherd use cases through approval process
• Document use case details, requirements, and risk assessments
• Track status of 6-7 concurrent use cases through the approval pipeline
• Facilitate meetings and communications between technical teams, business owners, and risk partners
• Maintain documentation and status reporting

Experience Requirements:
Required Qualifications

• 7+ years experience in IT, business analysis, or program/portfolio management
• Experience working in regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, government)
• Demonstrated ability to work with risk, compliance, or governance functions
• Strong stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences
• Proven ability to manage processes with multiple approval gates and dependencies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with project tracking and documentation tools

Strongly Preferred

• Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts and terminology (GenAI, LLMs, RAG, etc.)
• Experience with AI governance, responsible AI, or technology risk management
• Familiarity with vendor evaluation or technology procurement processes
• Background in financial services
