Our client is seeking a Portfolio/Program Manager to support the evaluation and management of 100+ AI use cases through a structured governance process. This is a process-heavy role requiring someone who can navigate multiple stakeholder groups, manage workflows through a 12-step approval process, and keep initiatives moving forward.
Responsibilities:
- Manage intake and evaluation of AI use cases through defined workflow process
- Coordinate with business stakeholders to understand use case requirements and value proposition
- Work with 12+ risk partners (compliance, security, legal, etc.) to shepherd use cases through approval process
- Document use case details, requirements, and risk assessments
- Track status of 6-7 concurrent use cases through the approval pipeline
- Facilitate meetings and communications between technical teams, business owners, and risk partners
- Maintain documentation and status reporting
Experience Requirements:
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years experience in IT, business analysis, or program/portfolio management
- Experience working in regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, government)
- Demonstrated ability to work with risk, compliance, or governance functions
- Strong stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Proven ability to manage processes with multiple approval gates and dependencies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with project tracking and documentation tools
Strongly Preferred
- Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts and terminology (GenAI, LLMs, RAG, etc.)
- Experience with AI governance, responsible AI, or technology risk management
- Familiarity with vendor evaluation or technology procurement processes
- Background in financial services
