The consultant will execute approximately 392 hours of work focused on deploying, configuring, and operationalizing Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP 4) within a secure environment. This position is ideal for a hands-on technical expert who can lead advanced platform deployments, collaborate with customer engineering teams, and ensure a successful, secure OpenShift implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the deployment, configuration, and validation of Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4 in an enterprise environment.
- Perform environment readiness assessments and guide architecture decisions.
- Install, configure, and optimize OCP clusters, including networking, storage, operators, and integrations.
- Implement cluster security controls, RBAC, certificates, and compliance-aligned configurations.
- Support container platform upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management activities.
- Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to customer engineering and operations teams.
- Troubleshoot platform and cluster issues, performing root cause analysis and remediation.
- Document deployment procedures, engineering decisions, and operational runbooks.
- Collaborate with Red Hat, customer stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure mission success.
Required Qualifications
- Active Secret Clearance
- Hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4 in production or enterprise settings.
- Strong background in Linux (RHEL) system administration and automation.
- Experience with Kubernetes architecture, containerization concepts, and platform operations.
- Familiarity with cluster networking (SDN/CNI), storage configurations, Operators, and GitOps workflows.
- Ability to perform platform deployment end-to-end, including installation, tuning, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Strong documentation skills and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to stakeholders.
