Requirements
Education/Training:
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant engineering or STEM discipline required
Experience:
- 8+ years in a manufacturing environment, knowledgeable of process control, quality measurement systems, lean manufacturing and experience and understanding of how a quality management system supports the organization
- Comprehensive knowledge of state-of-the-art instruments, equipment, theories and principles of general manufacturing business operations, with an emphasis on process control (Prevention vs detection)
- Experience in statistical process control, GD&T, VSM, TPM, the design process as well as process optimization and continuous improvement including experience with Six sigma and Lean Manufacturing
- Effectively work with CAD/CAM systems or other computer aided manufacturing systems; use standard business software and graphics applications
- Able to work complex technical problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors to solve a wide range of problems and instituting creative and effective ways to coordinate across multiple functions
- Able to achieve results individually, without significant supervision, and as a member of a team
- Proficient with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication (written, verbal, and presentation) and interpersonal skills
Security:
- Must be a US citizen
- Candidate must be in possession of a minimum DoD issued Secret Clearance
Physical Requirements:
- Able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach with hands and arms
- Frequent wrist, hand, and finger movements while using a computer or measuring tools
- Have the dexterity to see fine print and use hand and precision measuring tools
- Adhering to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)
- Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time
