Position Overview:
MTSI is seeking a Software DevSecOps Engineer to support the development of advanced software capabilities for a high-priority advanced air platform program The primary focus of this role is Software DevSecOps for Platforms, Weapons, and Terrestrial Systems, driving innovation and delivery of cutting-edge software solutions to the warfighter.
Key Responsibilities:
Software Development and Infrastructure:
• Coordinate across government and industry teams to define and develop software requirements for cloud-based digital infrastructure, ensuring robust architecture for software pipelines and tools that support:
• Embedded mission systems.
• Air vehicle software.
• Terrestrial applications.
• Data processing algorithms, quality, and test scripts.
• Execute software design, prototyping, development, testing, integration, and delivery across multiple security levels.
Platform and Weapon Integration:
• Ensure compliance and alignment with Government Reference Architectures (GRAs) such as:
• Agile Mission Suite GRA.
• Open Mission Systems (OMS).
• Weapon Open Systems Architecture (WOSA).
• Terrestrial GRA.
• Manage interfaces including Universal Command and Control Interface (UCI), Universal Armament Interface (UAI), and Common Flexible Weapons Interface (CFWI).
Speed and Agility in Software:
• Push the limits of software agility to deliver capabilities to the warfighter at accelerated speeds for critical mission needs.
• Support systems integration across Air Vehicles, Weapons, Sensors, Command and Control services, Communications Systems, Maintenance Management Systems, and more-leveraging a data-centric, open architecture approach.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
• Lead collaborative efforts between government and industry teams, driving progress on technical plans, design reviews, test reviews, and assessments.
• Provide technical briefings and articulate complex topics effectively across a broad audience, including senior leadership.
Cross-Phase Acquisition Support:
• Contribute to development and deployment of software capabilities across all phases of acquisitions, including:
• Technology Maturation.
• Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD).
• Production.
• Test.
Candidate Requirements:
REQUIRED SKILLS:
DESIRED SKILLS:
• Direct Experience with GRAs: Experience integrating GRAs into operational weapon systems is highly preferred.
• Technical Expertise: Knowledge of mission systems including autonomy, sensors, PNT, mission planning, and software services.
• Experience delivering software solutions across secure environments with modern architectures.
Other Details:
• Work Environment: This is a SAP position, requiring work in a vault/SCIF environment. Situational telework may be permitted.

Candidate Requirements:
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 2-8 years of hands-on experience in software engineering, or DevSecOps for defense, aerospace, or related industries.
- Familiarity with Agile Software Tools: Modern tools like Atlassian Suite and Cameo are required.
- Relevant Experience: Knowledge of software systems, pipelines, and integration with GRAs and mission systems architectures.
- Leadership Ability: Experience driving team efforts and providing technical oversight during design, testing, and implementation phases.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to work in dynamic environments and tackle complex software challenges.
- Clearance Requirement: Active Top Secret Clearance.
