Build Secure, Automated Systems That Power Critical U.S. Defense Missions
Prime Solutions Group (PSG), Inc. is seeking a DevSecOps / ML Ops Engineer to join our growing engineering team and support mission-critical programs for U.S. national defense. This role is ideal for mid-career engineers with strong foundational experience in secure software development, cloud
infrastructure, and automation. You will play a key part in building full-stack CI/CD systems, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and security-first workflows that enhance speed, reliability, and resilience across the development lifecycle.
In this role, you will independently evaluate and adapt modern DevSecOps techniques, lead medium-scope technical efforts, and collaborate across engineering, cybersecurity, and operations teams. This is a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding opportunity to deliver enterprise-scale solutions while contributing to work that directly supports national security.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and automated CI/CD pipelines.
- Integrate security tools and practices early in the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps-by-default).
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using IaC tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Implement SAST/DAST scanning, container security scanning, and dependency vulnerability management.
- Support containerized application development and manage Kubernetes-based deployments.
- Partner with development, QA, security, and infrastructure teams to deliver high-quality software rapidly and securely.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize build and deployment pipelines.
- Document system architectures, configurations, workflows, and processes.
- Recommend and implement continuous improvements across DevSecOps tooling and practices.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship (required)
- Active Top-Secret Clearance or higher (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3–5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or security automation roles.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
- Experience working with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Familiarity with security automation tools (Snyk, SonarQube, Trivy, etc.).
- Proficiency with scripting in Python, Bash, or similar languages.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills / Experience
- Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS), or equivalent.
- Experience with monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, ELK/Elastic, Grafana).
- Understanding of Zero Trust Architecture, SBOMs, or supply chain security.
- Exposure to compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, or DoD STIGs.
Why This Opportunity Matters
At PSG, you're not just joining a project—you’re shaping the future of secure digital engineering for some of the nation’s most advanced defense technology programs. We operate in a small-company environment where your ideas are heard, your impact is visible, and your work directly supports U.S. national security. We offer:
- Competitive compensation & full benefits
- Professional development & tuition assistance
- A collaborative, mission-focused engineering culture
- Opportunities to influence cutting-edge defense programs
Bring your DevSecOps expertise to PSG and help build resilient, secure, and intelligent platforms that support the missions that matter most.
