IDR is seeking a Global Level II Systems Engineer to join one of our top clients in Colorado Springs, CO (Schriever AFB). This role supports cyber-resilient mission systems in an Agile environment and provides 24x7 technical support for globally dispersed applications. Candidates must hold an active Top Secret/SCI and meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements. Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Global Level II Systems Engineer:
• Provide Level 2 troubleshooting, break/fix support, and preventative maintenance for mission-critical systems
• Diagnose and resolve issues across Windows, Linux, and virtualized environments
• Support 24x7 operations, with potential on-call, evening, weekend, and surge support
• Develop and maintain TTPs and Operating Instructions for system administration and operations
• Lead or participate in system troubleshooting, performance optimization, and automation initiatives
• Work on-site full-time at Schriever AFB in Colorado Springs, CO
Required Skills for Global Level II Systems Engineer:
• 7–9+ years of experience in system administration across Windows and Linux environments
• Proven experience with Windows Domain Controllers, PKI, and certificate management
• Strong Red Hat or Linux-based server administration
• Automated patch management for Windows and RHEL
• Experience with Nutanix or VMware and automation tools (Ansible, Bash, Perl, PowerShell)
• Data mining/analysis, database administration, and endpoint management systems
• Familiarity with IBM DataPower, especially certificate troubleshooting
• Strong communication, problem-solving abilities, and ability to support globally dispersed systems
