About the job

Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus while being able to dive into the unique engineering challenges we face daily. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage various Engineering-specific programs and teams.

The Services Delivery Leader for the US Department of War (DoW) is a key leadership role within Google Public Sector. You will utilize your technical, managerial, and leadership skills to oversee complex, multi-disciplinary delivery teams, ensuring projects are delivered end-to-end.

Your primary mission is to securely deploy Google technology, specifically Google Cloud Platform (GCP), to drive mission value in large, multi-year transformational engagements for strategic DoW customers.

You will manage the comprehensive project portfolio, providing delivery management and consulting that exceeds customer expectations. This includes pre-sales scoping, requirements gathering, risk management, and project scheduling.

You will collaborate closely with Google's sales, cross-functional executives and technical leaders to oversee GCP solution deployment, including leveraging our exceptional security resources to protect customers.

Google Public Sector brings the magic of Google to the mission of government and education with solutions purpose-built for enterprises. We focus on helping United States public sector institutions accelerate their digital transformations, and we continue to make significant investments and grow our team to meet the complex needs of local, state and federal government and educational institutions.
