TIAG is now hiring a Procurement Officer to join our team full time in Mount Pleasant, SC
This role requires an individual with DoD experience managing large-scale procurement, with the ability to support the organization build and optimize a procurement department for longer range customer and mission support.
This position reports to TIAG's Mount Pleasant office up to 4 days per week with one remote day.

Procurement Officer Responsibilities include:
- Strategic Procurement: Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive procurement strategies and policies for large-volume, complex orders (e.g., equipment, materials, services, and defense contracts).
- Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers and vendors. Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and contracts to ensure cost savings and quality control.
- Compliance and Risk: Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal policies, legal requirements, and government regulations (e.g., FAR, DFARS). Identify and mitigate supply chain and contract risks.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Provide guidance, mentorship, and potentially direct supervisory oversight to junior procurement staff or cross-functional teams.
- Budget Management: Manage procurement budgets, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and report on cost-saving initiatives and supply chain efficiency.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of dedicated professional experience in the DoD space in a Procurement or Supply Chain role, with significant focus on managing and executing large, high-value orders and complex contracts.
- Experience in or exposure to building out and or structuring a successful Procurement Department within an organization.
- Exceptional skills in contract negotiation, vendor management, and strategic sourcing.
Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance, so US or Naturalized citizenship is required
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity within a procurement or supply chain function is preferred but not required.
- Direct experience with procurement under U.S. government contracts, including familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
