Introduction

We are seeking an experienced professional to support enterprise financial systems and backlog management across multiple technology initiatives. The ideal candidate has deep experience working with technology stacks, understands financial processes, and excels in requirements elicitation, documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional technical teams. This role involves managing the product backlog, defining features and user stories, working closely with business stakeholders, and supporting the delivery of enhancements to enterprise financial applications.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Valid Government of Canada Reliability Clearance.
  • 7 years of progressive Business Analysis experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with technology stacks, including Azure DevOps, Power Platform, Dynamics, Advanced Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Demonstrated experience working with financial systems, financial processes, or ERP finance modules.
  • Proven success managing and refining backlogs in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience preparing process maps, data flows, UML, and functional specifications.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work remotely across diverse teams.


Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with Government of Canada digital initiatives or financial modernization projects.
  • Familiarity with SQL queries, ETL processes, or data transformation.
  • Exposure to cloud-finance transformation or Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
  • Certifications: CBAP, PMI-PBA, Scrum Master (CSM), or Agile BA certifications.


Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation for enhancements to enterprise financial systems.
  • Develop BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and solution options.
  • Conduct current-state assessments, gap analysis, and develop future-state process maps.
  • Translate financial business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements aligned with platform standards.
  • Manage and prioritize product backlogs using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
  • Refine epics, features, and user stories in partnership with Product Owners and technical leads.
  • Support daily scrums, sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint reviews.
  • Ensure requirements are delivered in alignment with Agile SDLC best practices.
  • Work with Accounting, Financial Planning, Treasury, AP/AR, and related teams to understand financial workflows and reporting needs.
  • Support integration efforts between financial systems and other enterprise applications.
  • Perform data mapping, validation, and analysis using tools like Excel, Power BI, and SQL.
  • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, development teams, QA, and project leadership.
  • Facilitate workshops, requirement walkthroughs, and UAT planning sessions.
  • Provide clear communication, risk identification, and solution recommendations.
  • Produce high-quality technical and business documentation aligned with enterprise and government standards.
  • Ensure compliance with security, audit, and data-governance requirements associated with Reliability-cleared projects.
