Prism Inc is seeking a highly skilled Network Administrator to join our team. The primary focus of this role is to support and manage critical data center and Local Area Network (LAN) operations. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on engineer capable of overseeing all aspects of the data center infrastructure lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Engineering and Implementation: Oversee and execute data center operations efforts, including the design, development, installation, configuration, testing, and implementation of various Data Center/LAN task orders involving Cisco network solutions and other infrastructure components (e.g., Aruba systems).
• Documentation: Capture and analyze technical requirements; document detailed system designs, implementation plans, and operations guides for network systems.
• Operational Support: Provide Tier 3 level support utilizing established change control processes and procedures.
• Collaboration: Actively participate in both project-based and operational meetings.
• System Administration: Perform general network administration duties, including installing and configuring networking resources such as LAN switches, and ensuring continuous network connectivity throughout the Data Center LAN infrastructure.
• Backup Support: Serve as a backup resource to the primary WLAN/LAN engineering team, supporting infrastructure projects across the wider network.
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor overall network performance to proactively detect and resolve issues. Utilize advanced tools (e.g., SolarWinds, DCNM, DNA Center, Cisco Prime) to troubleshoot network performance.
• Lifecycle Management: Participate in the initial implementation of general data center requirements, the addition of new hardware, and the retirement of legacy equipment.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Minimum Candidate Requirements

• Associate degree in computer science or networking; OR
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification; OR
• 4 years of experience supporting network infrastructure in a complex, multi-site environment.

Scope of Work and Technical Requirements

• Cisco ACI experience is a MUST HAVE.
• In-depth knowledge of general overall data center technologies and infrastructure design.
• Proven experience with operations and lifecycle management for physical and virtual data center assets.
• Working knowledge of multiple IT technologies, hardware, and software.
• Experience utilizing Cisco IOS-XE and NX-OS commands, with a strong understanding of VLANs and IP subnetting.
• Experience with Local Area Network and data center networks.
• Proficiency in diagramming network designs, layouts, etc., using tools such as Visio.
• Experience utilizing and managing Windows IP/DNS services.
• Familiarity with virtualization technology.
• Experience working with different types of fiber cabling.
• Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Visio, and PowerPoint.
