Job Description
ECS is seeking an API SME to work in our Quantico, VA office.
Are you ready to play crucial role in supporting cutting-edge technology for federal law enforcement and scientific organizations? ECS is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer to provide IT services and support for hardware, IT systems, applications, and operational technologies that support mission critical operations in support of our DOJ FBI Client. The scope of this program is to enhance enterprise IT services and solutions to this FBI component to provide best-in-class end-user support and drive improvements in the operations, management, maintenance and integration of services across multiple networks, systems, and applications to enable and enhance mission operations for law enforcement capabilities.
In this role, you will be working at the intersection of traditional IT and specialized scientific and operational technology systems to ensure functionality, performance, availability, responsiveness of supported IT systems and services. You will be accountable for managing server performance against service delivery objectives and identifying and implementing operational improvements to promote efficiency within the organization.

You will be accountable for managing server performance against service delivery objectives and identifying and implementing operational improvements to promote efficiency within the organization.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Design, develop, enhance, debug, and implement software.
- Troubleshoot problems related to software applications; resolve systems integration and compatibility issues.
- Support software testing as required, including developing automated test scripts using automation tools.
- Interact with required stakeholders.
- Support continuous innovation by implementing the best practices to improve technology tools and processes to increase team efficiency and technical execution.
- Contribute to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.
- US Citizen with an active Top Secret Clearance.
- 8+ years software development experience.
- SQL Server 2008 R2 or greater, T-SQL stored procedures, views, etc.
- Familiarity with writing unit tests and their role in a Continuous Integration environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills required.
- Strong attention to detail, highly developed critical thinking skills, and solid trouble shooting ability.
- Working knowledge of using C#, .NET, WinForms, WPF, WCF, Entity Framework, VB.NET, C++, XML, LINQ, SQL Database platform, MSBuild PowerShell, InstallShield.
- Understanding of engineering modeling languages, such as ER diagrams, UML Sequence diagrams or other engineering artifacts.
- Agile/scrum development experience.
- Experience writing and reviewing automated test scripts.
- Experience with Continuous Integration tools.
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks.
- Familiarity with Jira.
