The Project Management Scheduling Specialist will assume a critical role in providing comprehensive scheduling efforts for Tactical Systems Group-3 team. The position functions as a Master Scheduler, contributing to strategic planning, project scheduling, risk management, and documentation preparation to ensure the successful execution of complex aerospace programs.
Essential Functions
- Provide Scheduling Support and Proposal Planning:
- Support scheduling needs at for Tactical Systems Group-3 team.
- Ensure schedules are maintained, up-to-date, and reflect overall program or project status.
- Support the collection of program data and contribute to estimates for proposals, budgets, and program planning.
- Collaboration and Coordination:
- Collaborate with team to compile, coordinate, and maintain essential program/project details.
- Work closely with teams to ensure accurate scheduling data that aligns with the program's technical and cost performance goals.
- Schedule Reporting and Analysis:
- Review and analyze project schedule reporting, including subcontractor schedules, to ensure alignment with cost, schedule, and technical performance requirements.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of project management practices to evaluate the quality and accuracy of schedule reports.
- Experience with resource loaded schedules and Earned Value Management performance measurement.
- Schedule Logic and Integrity:
- Assess the mechanical integrity of project schedule logic, links, and constraints using established methodologies.
- Ensure schedules are realistic, logically structured, and correctly linked to support successful project execution.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
- Apply risk identification, analysis, and mitigation planning principles to proactively assess program cost, schedule, integration, and performance risks.
- Recommend mitigation strategies to address potential program impacts and improve project performance.
- Program Briefings and Documentation:
- Assist in preparing and coordinating program briefings, execution reports, decision papers, and key program documentation.
- Provide advisory support in the development and procurement processes, ensuring schedules align with program requirements.
- Standardization and Process Improvement:
- Collaborate with teams to implement standardized scheduling management processes and participate in program reviews.
- Ensure continuous improvement in scheduling practices to enhance efficiency and compliance with program standards.
- Other Duties:
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall project management and scheduling efforts.

Qualifications and Competencies
- Familiarity with DCMA 14-Point Schedule Health Assessment guidelines and DoD MIL-STD881C.
- Expert Proficiency in MS Project (required), and Jira (desired).
- Proficient Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; both written and verbal.
- Works well in cross-functional teams, especially in complex environments.
- Ability to work as part of a team and build collaborative relationships.
- Ability to identify and seek needed information/research skills.
- Ability to performs work under minimal supervision.
- Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suites (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Education / Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Possess a Project Management Professional (PMP) or Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) certification (desired)
Experience
- 4 to 6 years of project scheduling experience, preferably supporting DOD development programs.
